Jay-Z will reportedly headline the Glastonbury Festival in the UK this coming summer.
The festival is an annual three day event which celebrates music and performing arts.
Michael Eavis, the festival’s founder revealed to BBC today (February 1) that he tapped Jay-Z for the event to draw in a younger audience.
“He will appeal to the young people and under-25s for sure, so that's a big pull for them,” Eavis said. “It's not like the traditional one we do, like Radiohead, Coldplay and Muse and Oasis.”
The Glastonbury Festival will take place from June 27th to June 29th. Fans interested in attending the event have to register for a ticket via the festival's website and also submit their details and a photo by March 15th.
An estimated 175,000 people are expected to attend the festival.
