R&B crooner Ne-Yo has slapped Rowe Entertainment, a Georgia based concert promoter, for breach of contract.
Ne-Yo, who was R. Kelly's opening act for his ongoing "Double Up" tour, was abruptly booted from the tour in November. Ne-Yo claims that someone from R. Kelly's camp asked Rowe to kick him off the tour because he was outshining Kelly.
In his lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on December 31, Ne-Yo claims that he and Rowe made an oral agreement that he would receive $785,000 for opening for R. Kelly at a minimum of 25 concerts.
Ne-Yo claims that Rowe has not paid him the $785,000 and continued to use his voice and image to promote the tour after they kicked him off.
Ne-Yo is seeking the $785,000 and profits gained from the use of his voice and image.
BACK TO THE GAME

After a five year hiatus, Keith Sweat will be returning to the music scene this year with his latest album titled Just Me.
According to Reuters, Just Me will hit stores March 18th via ATCO. The album features Keyshia Cole and Sweat's longtime duet partner, Athena Cage.
Sweat's last studio album was 2002's Rebirth, which debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200. Since then, he's issued a live disc and a Christmas album, while also hosting the nationally syndicated radio program The Keith Sweat Hotel.
