October 29, 2007 was cool and breezy night in New York City. Getting off at the Houston Street stop on the 1 train, and walking up the subway stairs, New York’s famed S.O.B.’s night club is in plain view on Varick Street.

Tattered on every light pole in sight, were promotional posters for upcoming albums, while Def Jam/Roc-A-Fella street team members draped in black Freeway T-Shirts greeted patrons on their way inside the venue with flyers that displayed the cover art and release date for Freeway’s sophomore album, Free At Last.

The scene is set for Freeway’s album party, and the club is filled with the scent of Coronas with lemon, and the chatter of the people attending the event. As everyone waits patiently for the guest of honor to arrive, the focus is on the stage with its three microphone stands, and a huge screen that’s projecting a vidoeography of Freeway on repeat.

The DJ continues to play the clips of Freeway’s album, in between mixes of his previous material. Right when the liquor begins to set in, and The Roc faithful start to unwind, Freeway hits the stage accompanied by a clan of photogs that rival the ones chasing Brittney Spears all around California.

He then grabs the microphone, and thanks everybody for com ing out to support him, and his new project. Dressed in a pair of blue jeans, a brown Philadelphia Phillies fitted cap, with a brown under shirt and brown bubble vest to match; he introduces the first track of his new album, "This Can’t Be Real".

As he sits on the edge of the stage with his feet dangling, he grabs his bottle of champagne, taking sips in between adlibs, and nodding his head violently to the base line that’s hitting everyone in their chest. When the song fades, he rises to his feet and asks the crowd for their approval of his introduction track.

After running through "It’s Over "and "Still Got Love" (produced by Bink!), he invites Harlem producer, Dame Grease to the stage to formally introduce Big Spender. Wearing a black scully cap, and an over sized parka, Dame Grease takes the microphone and give a plug to Freeway’s album, Free At Last as his creation of "Big Spender" echoes through the sound system.

S.O.B.’s provides an intimate setting between artists and fans alike; Freeway takes full advantage of that by posing with people for photos. During the photo interlude, Free acknowledges Young Chris moving throughout the audience relatively unnoticed, and lets them know to look out for his upcoming album as well.

After the break concludes, Freeway gets on the subject of Jay-Z and 50 Cent executive producing his album, and gets into the song that features 50 [Cent], "Take It To The Top".

During the second verse of the song, Beanie Sigel makes his way into the gathering wearing a black zip-up hoodie, black sunglasses, and a larger than life State Property chain incrusted with diamonds.

Beanie Mac seems to be in high spirits as he walks through the crowd with a big grin on his face, while dapping everyone in his path, on his way to the stage to join his brethren.

Freeway narrates his way through "Reppin’ The Streets", "Free At Last", "Spit That Sh*t" and "Baby Don’t Do It"feat. Scarface.

He then gets into "Walk With Me" feat. Busta Rhymes and Jadakiss. When Jadakiss’ verse comes through the speakers, “The Broad Street Bully” can be seen giving credit, and nodding his head to the lyrics, further reassuring the “Jada/Beans” beef is a thing of the past.

"I Cry" is one of the more serious songs on the album, and Freeway lets the crowd know that he’s not scared to address his emotional side publicly. What follows is "Step Back" feat. Lil’ Wayne, and an impromptu live performance of "Roc The Mic" with Beans.

Both Roc-A-Fella affiliates are right at home, as they feed off each other nicely on stage. After their stroll down memory lane, the audience cheers them on with screams of satisfaction, and by throwing up The Roc sign. Freeway then hits the stage one last time for the evening to reiterate his thanks and lets everyone in
