Busta Rhymes , his three sons and various celebrities and volunteers all helped clean up Manhattan’s DeWitt Clinton Park yesterday (October 6).
According to The New York Daily News, Busta and 150 volunteers cleared up the park’s overgrown areas and created a terraced slope to help control erosion and protect the park's natural habitat.
They also painted handball courts, basketball backboards, the playground, fences and park benches.
The park revitalization project was the last stop for Boost Mobile's volunteerism tour, which has already made stops in Los Angeles, Atlanta, New Orleans and Miami , among other cities.
“I came out today for the kids,” Busta told the Daily News. “ This program is about substance. I want to support it and I want my kids to support it so they learn about responsibility. I want my kids to do things in the community because it's right.”
Later in the day, 5,000 volunteers were treated to a concert hosted by Nick Cannon which featured performances from Ludacris , Fabolous and Yung Joc.
