Yesterday it was announced that Kanye West's album Graduation will be released on September 11th , the same date as 50 Cent's album Curtis. Hip hop pundits have already begun discussing who will sell the most on their first week out.
During an interview with Funkmaster Flex on Hot 97 last night , 50 was asked if he will change his release date to avoid competition.
"September 11th is the date, and I’m not pushing it back. I’m not moving under any circumstances," 50 replied . " I hope that they see and understand what’s getting ready to happen. I’m not moving. I’m coming September 11th. If Kanye come that day, then he come that day. That’d be great if he actually stays in that date. I think his people are smart. And he’s smart too. And I think they’ll move… Jay-Z’s not gonna let that happen anyway. He’s not gonna leave him there."
When asked about Lil Wayne , 50 said that Weezy steals from Jay-Z and criticized him for his numerous features on other rapper's records.
