Lil Wayne has been arrested in Atlanta on drug charges.
Police arrested Lil Wayne - whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter - early Monday near Atlantic Station in midtown Atlanta.
Officers say Carter had several drugs in his possession when they arrested him.
He was released on bond.
Carter has released five albums under the name Lil Wayne beginning with Tha Block Is Hot in 1999.
His most recent is Tha Carter Volume Two. That album hit Number Two on the charts after its release last year.
