Uptown's own, Lennox Ave's own, it's the muhf&%*in Statue, ya boy Jae Millz, all the way from '212' to you! If you aren't from around the way, Lenox Avenue is dead in the heart of Harlem, so that makes Jae Millz a product of the borough of established rappers such as Big L, McGruff, Mase, The Diplomats and Black Rob. Originally getting his start in neighborhood battles, it is no surprise that Millz' freestyling ability would turn out to be his break into the rap game.

Establishing himself in the mixtape circuit with a cocky freestyle venom that would land him on Kay Slay and DJ Enuff mixtapes, Millz' battle-rapping eventually earned him a visit from Mr. Bad Boy. P. Diddy, as he was filming The Making of The Band's second season at the time and was recruiting an emcee to match his captain Ness up against. Answering the call, Millz took on Ness in what would be described on TV by Diddy as a 'draw,' but for Millz, the stroll in the spotlight was anything but a push.

Drawing on the incredible exposure offered by the show, Jae soon took on a full-time hip-hop hustle, appearing on countless mixtapes, as well as coming up with a few of his own. As recent as last year, Jae released a couple mixtapes, including a mixtape with DJ E.NYCE packed with all of his hottest freestyles from 2005; those with good memories will remember we previously hooked up Jae Millz and DJ E.NYCE to bring you 150 autographed copies of Harlem Heat: Nothing But The Freestyle.

Back with that Mix Unit connection, DJ E.NYCE and Jae Millz bring you the official The Last Of The Best mixtape from Millz' Wanna Blow Entertainment. With his 2005 New Years resolution to not be so lazy, we finally got Millz to come with it on this monster mixtape of Harlem's baddest. With his Universal Records debut due out some time later this year, after a half-decade in the making, expect big things from this superlyrical mixtape murderer. And expect them to start right here on this mixtape.

Together with Jae Millz, DJ E.NYCE and Wanna Blow Entertainment., Mixunit.com is proud to bring you this official Mix Unit Collabo mixtape.
