LAYZIE BONE and YOUNG NOBLE (of The OUTLAWZ) will release their collaborative effort Thug Brothers on February 7th.

The album will feature production by MIKE MOSLEY who has worked with 2PAC and E-40.

The 'always controversial and misunderstood BONE' aka BIZZY BONE will be releasing a solo album titled The Story on March 3rd.

PUSHED BACK FURTHER THAN YO' FATHER HAIRLINE

JAGGED EDGE's fifth self titled album which was slated to be released on December 20th has been pushed back for the second time.

The album will hit shelves on February 14th, according to their official website.

Another album that has been pushed back is RHYMEFEST's debut album Blue Collar.

Originally slated for a January 24th release, the album will now hit stores on March 7th.

LIKE DOUBLE THE FUN

The New Season, a collaboration between West Coast legends MC EIHT and BROTHA LYNCH will hit shelves on January 24th. According to published reports, both rappers handle majority of the production on the album.

JAZZE PHA and CEE-LO will release their collaborative effort Happy Hour on February 14th. The album features appearances from KEITH SWEAT, MANNIE FRESH, AARON HALL and NATE DOGG.

CEE-LO is also working with DANGER MOUSE on a project entitled Gnarls Barkley which will be released next year as well.

FATS & BATHGATE will release their joint project Split Decision on January 10th.

The album features appearances from FREEWAY and K. YOUNG.

GIMME THAT BEAT FOOL...

The criminally underrated producer J DILLA will release his latest opus Donuts on February 7th. No MC's will be spitting on the album, its all beats.

Also supplying a steady flow of beats is Compton's own DJ QUIK'.

The Instrumental version of his latest album Trauma will hit stores on January 24th.

THE REEL

If you loved the following JOHN SINGLETON movies: Boyz 'N The Hood, Baby Boy and Poetic Justice, you can cop the DVD Box Set with all three flicks on December 6th.

SINGLETON's latest movie Four Brothers starring TYRESE and ANDRE 3000 will be out on DVD on December 20th.

Speaking of TYRESE , he will be seen in theatres soon. The singer will co-star in the Navy-themed Annapolis which opens in theaters on January 27th.

He is currently filming Waist Deep which co-stars THE GAME , MEAGAN GOOD and LARENZ TATE.

TRUE STORY

REMY MA fiends who can’t wait till February 7th for her debut album to drop, can get a fix by copping her latest mixtape titled Most Anticipated: Queen Of New York.

The mixtape features exclusive freestyles, songs from her upcoming album and unreleased joints.

REM doesn't disappoint as she offers raw lyricism and even throws a slight jab at FOXY BROWN.

WHERE YOU BEEN?

~~Cab driver~~ Rapper CAPPADONNA is readying his new studio album, The Transition, for release next year.

The album will feature production from PETE ROCK, LARGE PROFESSOR and IRON SHIEK.

'Mr. Slang Editorial’ gets personal on this project. He touches on some of his tribulations such as being homeless and driving a cab to make ends meet.

HEV THE THESPIAN

HEAVY D will receive the Spirit Award at the 16th annual NAACP Theater Awards on February 25th in Los Angeles.

HEV is being honored for past achievements in film and television plus his work in the play Medal Of Honor Rag which was produced by WILL SMITH.

The show will air on Friday , March 3rd on FOX.

REGGATON DONS

Reggaton royalty DON OMAR will release his album Da Hit Man Presents Reggaeton Latino on December 6th.

The album features appearances from FAT JOE, PLAY N SKILLZ, JENNIFER LOPEZ and MR. VEGAS.

Look out for the "Dale Don Dale (remix)" ft FABOLOUS.

The song is produced by SWIZZ BEATZ and is hands down 'Reggaton banger of the year".

In other Reggaton news , DADDY YANKEE has begun working on his follow-up to Barrio Fino titled Cartel.

The album which is slated for release next year will feature production from LUNY TUNES and PHARRELL.

YANKEE will also be featured on PHARRELL' s solo debut In My Mind, which is expected in shelves in February 2006.

EVERYBODY WANNA BE LIKE...RON?

k1x (kay-one-ex) recently signed NBA All-Star RON ARTEST to a multi-year, multi-million dollar endorsement contract.

The partnership will include the design of both footwear and a clothing line. The self proclaimed 'Tru Warrior' is the first NBA player to ink a deal with the German-based company.

In other NBA related news, PHIL JACKSON, legendary head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, will host a weekly NBA talk show exclusively on SIRIUS. The show will debut on Monday, December 5 (6-7 pm ET) on SIRIUS' channel 123.

PUT YOU ON THE GAME

THE GAME has taken his 'G-Unot' campaign to a higher level.

The Compton lyricist has gathered up a selection of domain names like 50snitch.com, 50sasnitch.com, gunotdvd.com, theblairsnitchproject.com to help promote his latest DVD, Stop Snitching.

THE GAME and 310 Motoring will be in stores 12/26/06 at selected Footlockers and Finish Lines.

New Orleans MC, TRUTH UNIVERSAL will release his latest album Decolonization in February 2006.

The first single from the album, 'Mind frame', features a West Coast cameo from ZION, of the Bay Area group ZION I.

Light heavy weight champion ANTONIO TARVER has snagged the role of 'Mason Dixon' in the upcoming sixth Rocky movie titled Rocky Balboa.

ROY JONES was also up for the highly sought after role.

Once the shooting of the flick wraps up, ANTONIO will head back to the gym to prep for fights against JAMES TONEY and VITALI KLITSHCKO.

According to his official website, the knock-out king also has his eyes set on taking on ~~washed up~~, former heavy weight MIKE TYSON.

DOIN' IT AND DOIN' IT AND DOIN' IT WELL

LL COOL J will host the 2005 Billboard Music Awards, which will be handed out Dec. 6 live on FOX from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Nominees include 50 CENT, MARIAH CAREY, DESTINY's CHILD, THE GAME and LIL JON, just to name a few.

JUELZ SANTANA recently shot a video for his single "Oh Yes" off his sophomore album, What The Game's Been Missing. The clip will premiere on Sunday (December 4th) on MTV2 @ 2pm.

JUELZ also plans to release a mixtape titled Back Like Cooked Coke 4: Rehab in the coming months.

In DIPSET news, the Harlem rap crew is being sued by music publisher JAMIE MUSIC PUBLISHING for sampling BARBARA MASON's song “Yes I’m Ready".

THE DIPLOMATS used the1965 hit on their single " I'm Ready".

Island Def Jam Music Group, Roc-A-Fella Records, and Universal Music Group were also named in the lawsuit.

TRAPPED IN THE COURT ROOM

On Wednesday, an Illinois judge refused to dismiss a civil suit against R. KELLY.

An unnamed woman brought the suit against the "Pied Piper" claiming invasion of privacy and negligence for being included on a sex tape allegedly made by the singer.

KELLY has claimed that the man on the tape is not him .

The singer/producer/songwriter also has two other cases hanging over his head. He is facing child-pornography charges and is suing JAY-Z for $75 million.

I AIN'T NO JOKE

His last comedy series may have been canceled but that wont stop TRACY MORGAN from taking another shot at the sitcom world.

The comedian/actor has been cast in a new NBC comedy (as yet untitled), being written by and starring SNL head writer/player TINA FEY.

MORGAN is currently filming the comedy Little Man which stars SHAWN and MARLON WAYANS, JOHN WITHERSPOON and KERRY WASHINGTON.

NOT AS BAD AS ERIC BENET

HALLE BERRY's man, MICHEAL EALY will star in the new Showtime series titled Sleeper Cell.

The series centers on an FBI agent (Michael) who infiltrates a terrorist cell run by an Islamic extremist.

The show will premiere on Sunday (December 4th).

GOT IT SEWED UP

MIKE JONES recently revealed that he has almost completed his next album, titled The American Dream.

The album is slated to be released in April.

The rapper recently appeared in the fall finale of Prison Break and will be a regular on the show which returns next spring.

The Houston representative is also mulling various movie scripts.

COME UP IN THE SPOT LOOKING EXTRA FLY

KANYE WEST has tapped LUPE FIASCO to join him for the remainder of his "Touch the Sky Tour."

FIASCO will join the tour beginning tomorrow, December 3 in Los Angeles and continuing through December 10 in Seattle.

LUPE will release his debut Food and Liquor in 2006.

According to a press release issued by Atlantic Records, the album is co-executive produced by JAY-Z and features collaborations with NEEDLZ, THE BUCHANANS and MIKE SHINODA of LINKIN PARK.

In other news, KANYE and Musicland Group will launch Free U. College Giveaway on December 5th with a free performance at Santa Monica High School.

Free U. College Giveaway is a nationwide sweepstakes in which a lucky student could win $150,000 towards college education.

JAMIE FOXX recently signed on to star in Universal Pictures' The Kingdom.

The political thriller will have FOXX playing the leader of an elite team of counter-terrorism investigators. The flick will begin production in May.

Beat connoisseur ROCKWILDER, will launch a website providing beats, cash prizes and production deals to aspiring producers.

www.rocbeats.com can currently be viewed but will officially launch in March 2006.

PIMP C, one half of the Texas rap group UGK could be released before the end of the year. The rapper is currently incarcerated, serving an 8-year sentence for aggravated assaulted with a deadly weapon.
