After spending two years working with hip-hop journalist Dream Hampton on his autobiography, The Black Book, Jay-Z has decided not to release the book citing privacy issues.

"I know that people really want to know about me," the Def Jam Presidente revealed to Rolling Stone.  "I thought I was OK with it, but as it got closer and closer, I said, 'What am I doing?"

The tell-all book was highly anticipated by fans that were teased by an excerpt which was featured in the booklet of his last solo effort,  The Black Album.
