Krumbsnatcha: Hello.

Medina
: Hey! What’s going on?

Krumbsnatcha: How are you doing?

Medina
: I’m doing okay. First of all, I want to congratulate on the release of your album.

Krumbsnatcha: I appreciate that, thank you…thank you.

Medina
: I want to take it back just a little…if you don’t mind telling me about yourself. How did you get started in Hip Hop? I know you’re originally from Boston how did you make your way to Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames. style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">New York?

Krumbsnatcha:: Umm….It started off I was working with an independent label back in Massachusetts, called MIA and umm…basically through them, I had met Premier, cuz hew was actually supposed to do a remix for one of the songs I had did for them…and he requested …cuz I was incarcerated at the time, so he requested to see me in person and then work on something….so actually he waited for me and when I came out that when we got up. Instead of remixing the song, he played the “Closer to God” beat and I went in the booth and the lyrics to it.

Medina
: Okay. So, I know that you were the first indie artist to receive the Source hip hop quotable. Being the first, did you feel any kind of pressure when your project was due to drop?

Krumbsnatcha: No, not at all actually the opposite. I just felt if they gave me a quotable for that ….you know…imagine…you know …the future stuff I’m a come with…you know what I’m saying, cuz I was just basically just feeling the industry out…you know trying to get in where I fit in…you know?

Medina
: How is it working with Gangster?

Krumbsnatcha: it’s great…it’s great…they’re legends and they know a lot of wisdom…you know a lot of wisdom is being passed around, I soak it up and take it for what it is you know and add it to my repertoire.

Medina
: You have a lot of “firsts” on your hands by that I mean; being the first artist to be released on Golden Eyez Entertainment, do you feel a lot of pressure behind that having to set the standard?

Krumbsnatcha: Some what pressure but I think its pretty much more pressure on…as far as the industry….you know…I dropped an album with D&D, you know it didn’t do what it was supposed to do…so on this one I had to broaden my scope. As far as the fan base, so that’s the only real pressure…you know I’m pretty confident in my talent…letting you know what I can bring to the table.

Medina
: It has been said that your first album was more of a “Boom Bap” type of feel, it was said to have fallen in a KRS demographic, and do you agree? And if you do or don’t what sets your new album apart from your last one?

Krumbsnatcha: I agree, the demographic was probably a little bit smaller it was geared towards you know the underground kids….whatever the situation is cuz that’s pretty much where my mind state was at that time, but as of now…you know it’s been….it’s been a lot of things leading up to where I’m at in the present day. Where this album made me broaden my scope as far as who I’m trying to reach.

Medina
: Okay, your album title “Let the Truth be Told” what truths are you telling? What’s behind the title>

Krumbsnatcha: “Let the Truth be told” is basically me just trying to clarify certain things and misconceptions the industry may have about a brother…you know…whatever, it’s been a lot of shit running around, I just thought that this album right here would clear up a lot of shit…I talk about about my Interscope deal, talk about my last label…you know got shut down because of the feds. A whole bunch of stuff, I just had to get it out on  the table, cuz a lot of things that are being said by people who didn’t hear anything from me.

Medina
: I see Knotz executive produced your project how did that come about?

Krumbsnatcha: Actually Knotz is my dawg; I’ve been working with Knotz for years, actually my second album he did seven songs on that album. So, I already had some type of familiarity with Knotz that’s my brother, back when he was just working with Busta Ryhmes so he’s always been in the fold for years.

Medina
: Okay, let’s talk about some of your lyrics- I know that you did a song with Styles P and a lot of people are talking about the lyrics in that song. You’re talking about Iraq; can you tell me whether that was influenced by what’s going on now?

Krumbsnatcha: Basically, it’s just some street shit, whatever the situation is just put your spin on it , there’s really no concept behind it, but as far as the Iraq thing I was just saying that ya’ll keep talking about Iraq…you know….but we have terrorist in our own hood that shoot up shit and come through and you know what I’m saying….I said fuck Iraq I got terrorist in my hood.

Medina
: Are you registered to vote?

Krumbsnatcha: I’m actually going to do it some time this week.

Medina
: Ok. So you are going to vote. You don’t have to tell me who you are voting for…

Krumbsnatcha: John Kerry, of course… (laughs)

Medina
: I know that’s right (laughs)... You also have a track on your album with Famlay, how did you hook up with him?

Krumbsnatcha: umm…through Notz…you know they were working on some tracks for his album and Notz and Pharrell…you know they have a repertoire between each other, they offered if I would like to do a song with Famlay and I was like…”yeah, of course I’d love to”, and he came to the studio and showed love, we got some drinks and we kicked the willie bobo…you know…and we did the song.

Medina: You know that you’re really showing your age, I haven’t heard that term in a long time(laughs)

Krumbsnatcha: Yeah (laughing)

Medina: You also have a new producer named Emil, a lot of hype around that name. You also have a cut with Dina Rae…I don’t know who that is.

Krumbsnatcha: Actually, Dina Rae did Superman w/Eminem, she did a lot of the hooks off his previous album.

Medina
: Oh! Now I know. You have a lot of collaborations on this album…is there anyone that you didn’t get to work with, that you are looking forward to working with?

Krumbsnatcha: Definitely, Premier…you know that’s my brother, it’s just due to time conflicts and a lot of things that was going on, I didn’t get a chance to get him on this one.

Medina
:What do you have coming up? Any features or cameos?

Krumbsnatcha: My main focus is to get out there and promote this album…there’s a radio promo tour coming up and we got a European tour that’s in the works, I’m more focused on getting my material out there, then after that I’ll be doing the cameos and all of that.

Medina
: Are you going to start your own label?

Krumbsnatcha: I actually have my own label, it’s called W.O.L.V.E.S Entertainment.

Medina
: Any acts coming up or in the works?

Krumbsnatcha: Well, we have a few acts, but the first thing we gonna do is put out a compilation and let the fans decide on who they feel should come out first.

Medina
: What’s your first single off your album?

Krumbsnatcha: My album?

Medina
: yeah

Krumbsnatcha: umm...we got the “bang, bang” joint with Styles P…

Medina
: Okay.

Krumbsnatcha: well, actually we got the 12inch out Produced by Notz, the A side is “I do me” and the B side is the one with Famlay.

Medina
: I want to thank you and I wish you the best of luck and take care of yourself.

Krumbsnatcha: I appreciate it likewise sweetheart. Peace.
