Mr. Cheeks has another one with his single Crush on You off the forthcoming album Death B4 Dishonor, which is scheduled for a March release date. Mr. Cheeks teams up with Mario Winans for a hip hop ballad that will have thugs, emcees, and hoochies getting misty eyed till summer. Winans is responsible for the production on the track; he is probably most notable for his contributions to the recent projects of Ray Benzino, Rock Da Party, and P. Diddy, I need a Girl remix. The Yellow City production team does a good job of creating a beat that will have the ladies wanting to dance while keeping the fellas nodding their heads. Mr. Cheeks is on top of his lyrical game on the track. He demonstrates the ability his ability to convey emotion with out sounding like an R&B thug. Some people say that Mr. Cheeks has fell off since the Lost Boyz days, due to his evolution towards the more commercial sounding tunes like Lights, Camera, Action. Either way, with a certified gold solo project and a single (Lights, Camera, Action) that hit airwaves from the hood to suburbia, Mr. Cheeks has placed himself in a good position to succeed with the release of his new project.
