Nas and his wife Kelis are reportedly expecting their first child together.

A source close to the couple broke the good news to US Weekly.

"It's all they are talking about. She is carrying hip-hop royalty!" said the insider. "They are so excited."

Jennifer Hudson will be making her return to the limelight at the Super Bowl next month.

According to UPI, Hudson will perform at the national anthem at the event on February 1st in Tampa, Florida.

The Super Bowl performance will mark the first time Hudson will sing in public since her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were shot to death in Chicago in October, allegedly by her brother-in-law.

Young Buck, Ludacris and Bobby Valentino will be among various artists who will be appearing on BET's latest show Played By Fame.

According to The Tennessean, the afo rementioned artists will play pranks on unsuspecting fans who think they have won a day out with their favourite celebrities.

The show will debut on January 30 at 9 p.m. CST.

KNOCKING DOORS DOWN

Run DMC are slated to be the second hip-hop act to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

Their induction ceremony will take place at Cleveland’s Public Hall on April 4th. Other artists that were inducted included Metallica and Bobby Womack.

The first hip hop act to be inducted were Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five in 2006.
