It’s me again folks, Jonny Boy also known as hip-hop’s Frank Sinatra. I’m here to bring you the best of hip-hop news with that little twist on it. I can’t help it it’s a gift. First things first, how on God’s green earth did 50 get pushed back all the way until 2009? I mean there’s a few reasons I can think of but I really don’t know which one is right.

One thing that crossed my mind is that the music just isn’t up to par yet and you know he wants to go out with a bang. The other was that things at Interscope are not looking lovely and Jimmy Iovine is doing whatever he can to make 50’s final days as miserable as humanly possible. I could be wrong as these are just speculations. So anyway there is a silver lining to this dark cloud. 2009 should be amazing. We’re getting 50, Eminem, and maybe even Dre but honestly that I do not believe.

We should also be getting Jay and Fab if I’m not mistaken so I’m not mad. Jimmy Jones hit Broadway recently with his one-man show type of deal and supposedly it wasn’t bad. I refuse to sit in a playhouse so I’ll never go see it but it’s definitely an interesting way to promote an album. Speaking of Jim Jones let’s talk about my man Dame Dash. Could it be that this dude is really broke like the media is reporting? He had crazy dough and he made even more when he sold Rocawear. I’m having trouble believing that he can’t afford to lease a truck. When you have over 10 mil that money starts working for you so I’m real hesitant to believe this.

Dame had successful flicks such as the State Property movies and of course the cult classic Paid in Full. Dame never got enough credit for that movie. The casting alone was incredible. Wood Harris portraying the 'Azie 'character, perfect. Mekhi playing the 'Rich Porter' character, perfect. And as far as Cam’ron playing the 'Alpo 'character I don’t think there’s ever been a role in movie history that could fit somebody more perfectly. Anyway, I hope Dame really isn’t that broke.

Also I gotta go back to the 50 situation for a minute, not so much 50 but the rest of the cats in G-Unit. Do ya’ll think Banks will ever be able to release a commercially successful album again? I mean I don’t know. It’s sad that a dude who sold 2 mil just a couple years back might not be able to even go gold ever again. As far as Yayo goes I think he’s ballin’ off being 50’s hype man so he’s all good without ever releasing even another mixtape.

Where are the other guys though like Hot Rod and Spider Loc? They’re promoting themselves pretty hard but I never see any progress as far as their album releases go. Do you, the fans out there think we will ever see Hot Rod or Spider Loc releases under G-Unit? I’m having serious doubts so let me know what you guys think.

I do have a bunch of albums that I’m looking forward too however like Freck Billionaire, Street Fam, Skyzoo, and hopefully Crooked I and Joell Ortiz. I’m definitely stunned that Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Royce, and Crooked I are teaming up. That’s like an underground hip-hop fans wet dream. I don’t see that as a platinum plaque project but all four of them would cake up lovely off the mixtape sales and the show money would be bananas for sure. Who wouldn’t go check that show? Crooked I is an animal and he’s just one of the dudes who’s really bringing the West Coast back. There’s Bishop Lamont, Jay Rock, and the list goes on.

Speaking of Bishop Lamont, I’m upset that Stat Quo never got to release his album on Shady. That dude is incredible on the mic and I’m sure Statlanta was a classic album. It was terrible timing. They should have dropped that a couple months after he signed. Why they waited is a mystery to me. That would have been a few extra mil in the pockets of Interscope but hey this is a crazy business and shit is always going wrong. Anyway I’ve rambled on enough over here. This happens every week and I’d like to thank the thousands of you who can actually tolerate me spewing some bullshit for 1000 words. I thank ya’ll for that from the bottom of my heart.
