DJ’s make noise all over the world no matter where you from. If you do rap, R&B, Pop, are even Grime if you trying to get heard you need the DJ. Every week on this site we feature a DJ as we do it out of respect for hip-hop. If it wasn’t for the DJ most you new artist wouldn’t be shit. Once again though we continuing the trend and this U.K. DJ can rock a club making it a night not to forget.

Not only that he makes sure he rep his town at large and showcasing their own well known music which is Grime. The man is infamous and not afraid of anything as we call him Da Infamous DJ Caspa C. When you doing big things it only right to give back to the youth. Holding down big workshops to show the youth how to make it and appreciate the essence of DJing is what he lives for. Though the word infamous is associated with evil, Caspa C flips it turning bad to good.

Sixshot.com: Most DJ’s often explain their love for music as it came within a young age. As far as a career when you were down with Dice Recordings would you say they was responsible for some of your success?

DJ Caspa C: I would say I was already established before I signed to Dice Recordings as a DJ on club circuit and different radio stations.  Now that I am signed to them I'm hoping to go further, for instance they got my first acting role in a film called London State of Mind .

Sixshot.com: The indie label grind is something that is taking a huge movement in the hip-hop industry right now. Now knowing overseas the outlets are not as strong, how did a label like Dice function to keep business going?

DJ Caspa C: I would say they survive with their acts such as, Shystie, Big Nastie, PJam, Dice Films and my self in the way of different avenues. Grime, R&B, UK Hip Hop, Radio, Club and Video scene in the form of mixtapes. With films and their songs being played on the radio with their videos through their fan base and over seas customers.

Sixshot.com: As you DJ you deal with all types of music, but one is Grime that is popular in the U.K. which many in the U.S. are not familiar with. Can you break down why this music is hot and it’s impact on the U.K.?

DJ Caspa C: I would say it is hot, because it has a wide age range base of fans which know the acts or artists. Then they buy into those acts and artists along with supporting them in other ventures or genres that they do. Roll Deep is a collective of grime based artists which express their lyrics over in house produced Grime beats as a collective, but the individuals of the collective. Skepta, Wiley they are known for producing some of the well known Grime Anthems, so other acts or artists will know them from the music. The impact would be nation wide and not just the areas that acts and artists come from other genres buy into it.

For instance I’m a Hip Hop DJ and if I was playing in a London club and I didn’t know the acts or artists I would have to buy it from the shop to play it in my set. I would say Grime is a U.K. form of Hip Hop or what is known as Rap Music.

Sixshot.com: So when you doing your thing in the clubs is it really hard to decide whether to throw on a hot hip-hop or Grime record?

DJ Caspa C: It depends where the club is but there would be at least five Grime tunes that I could play anywhere in the country and they would be accepted. Due to the fact they have either been in the national charts or on a video network e.g. Lethal B: POW, Roll Deep: When Im Here, Dizzie Rascal: I Luv U, Wiley: Eskimo, Kano: P&Q's.

Sixshot.com: With someone like you that’s definitely hot on the club scene, how you manage to keep your ear to the street to keep the crowd happy?

DJ Caspa C: I would say the love of music and as being a DJ you always want to bring something new to the table and RVUP (management & pr) help me alot.

Sixshot.com: You have much popularity as a DJ, especially with your radio experienced. You had sets on Choice FM, Tim Westwood, and even now on Xtreme FM. Is radio to best way to build a presence within the music industry?

DJ Caspa C: I would say it is not the only way to be known. A good reputation goes a long way and you would have to build on that making your presence known to peers that haven’t heard of you before so that they remember your name.

Sixshot.com: So describe your favorite experience while being a radio DJ and along with that what do you love most about it?

DJ Caspa C: I would say the thing I love most about DJing would be mixing two records or cds together and making something different or a new sound. My experiences are from expressing myself as a DJ Live in the mix on Radio, on the Net or in a club.

Sixshot.com: So with your show on Xtreme radio how can people tune and see what’s really good with the Infamous Caspa C?

DJ Caspa C: I would say on MySpace at www.myspace.com/dainfamouscaspa for info and www.phatbeats.co.uk from '09. Also shout out Nina Carmela Artist Manager & PR RVUP International Music Services.

Sixshot.com: I read that your very active within the community and willing to give advice to the youth who also wants to succeed. Get in-depth with the DJ and music workshops you such as Golf Links, The Hayhill and what you mainly try to accomplish?

DJ Caspa C:  I am trying to establish a way of hands on communication to the individual or individuals in the way of mixing turntableism. Along with how to DJ and how to be on your own radio or net show through experiences I have had and how I do things.

Sixshot.com: So what makes you call yourself Da Infamous Caspa C?

DJ Caspa C: My name came about from being well known and having lots of friends. Casper the friendly ghost, Caspa became one of my tags so when I started DJing I used that name as I was known in those circles by it. C came about, because I was known for cutting records a lot or being creative so it was Caspa C. Then when I played out. I always played a Mobb Deep record in my set and played at places where some DJs wouldn’t even step foot in I put them all together and it became Infamous Caspa C or I.C.C in collectives known as, Genuine Article, Sudden Impact, Ghetto Fabulous, Black Widow.

Sixshot.com: Did you ever think of making out here to the United States to make some moves over here?

DJ Caspa C: I would say yes I have some things going on in the Boston and New York area in '09. I have other projects such as The Bay Area, California and Canada but the plan is to be everywhere not just one country.

Sixshot.com: Speaking on the artist tip, name some of your favorite in all genres in the U.K. and the U.S.?

DJ Caspa C: I would say anything old school hip-hop. My personals would be EPMD, Special ED, Mobb Deep, Skinnyman, The MUDD Fam, Black Twang, MrTibbs, Wretch32, Big Narstie, Giggs, Northstar. I like many more too such as So Solid, Sticky, Soul2Soul, Oasis, Beverly Knight, Crazy Cousins, Masters at Work, Soul Heaven, Sean Paul, Movado, Chamillionaire, Universal Soldiers, The Merky Turks, Nate Saint.
