Jonny Boy Speaks: Kelis Gets Caught With Her Pants Down & Eminem Gets Pushed Back? printer friendly version Send this story to a friend!

Yeah, yeah I’m back like I never left for another week of Jonny Boy Speaks and I’m about to do like a brain in a voice box and speak my mind. Congratulations are in order today to our 44th President of The United States, Mr. Barack Obama. He is truly the most qualified man for the job, an inspiration to us all, and a reason to believe that this country can change for the better.

Again, Congratulations to President Obama. On to much, much, much less important news featuring our favorite hip-hop artists. As I’m sure you’ve heard Lil Wayne recently welcomed a son into the world. I wonder if when he’s 16 he’ll be stuntin’ like his daddy.

In a piece of extremely disturbing news, the Kelis sex tape rumor appears to be true. I’m not positive it’s true but the second party involved has allegedly been identified and is a dude who is semi in the industry. I’m so disgusted by this I’m not even getting into details or mentioning any names. All I’m going to say is that if this is true Kelis and the dude in question are both embarrassments to themselves. A married woman doesn’t act like that. A lady doesn’t act like that and a dude should always respect the ring.

In extremely sad news president of Def Jam Shakir Stewart recently committed suicide. He had recently been appointed to his position at the label and yes I agree that it does seem very strange. Why would a young man with everything going for him commit suicide? Everybody on the internet has their little conspiracies about it not being accidental but that’s not what the police say. For hip-hop’s sake I hope there wasn’t any foul play because we don’t need another unnecessary death. My condolences go out to his friends and family.

For all you die hard Eminem fans, I’m sure you were ecstatic when the album was listed for pre-order then taken down like 6 seconds later. Man these guys at Shady/Aftermath hold onto their music tighter than most men would hold onto their nuts running through a room made knives naked. I seriously don’t get it. It’s not even like they need to market these friggin’ albums. Just put out The Relapse, Detox, and Before I Self Destruct, sell 8 trillion records and call it a day. I understand a rapper taking his time on an album but 8 years? That’s just silly. Let’s get it poppin’ already.

Who heard Soulja Boy’s brilliant comments about slave masters? Man that was not a good look at all. I like the little dude but that comment was crazy and proof of why an education or at least opening a book every once in a while is mandatory. I think everybody should let this one slide though because he is a young dude and everybody is allowed at least a couple of mistakes. I hope he has some good ass publicists on his team to sweep this thing under the rug or else people are going to take the ball and run with this forever.

We do have a lot of good to look forward to in hip-hop, mainly Ludacris’ album. Theater Of The Mind is going to be out of control. Ludacris is way too slept on and it pisses me off. This dude along with Scarface is the best lyricist to ever come out of the South and he might just be top 5 of all time. If you disagree with that then I don’t think you’re really listening. Every album Luda has put out has been insane and any time he steps up to drop a guest verse it’s pure murder.

One more album to look forward to is Jadakiss’ even though he was forced to change the title from Kiss My Ass to The Last Kiss. Jada is always dope on the mic and personally I think his songwriting abilities are underrated. If you go back and listen to his past albums he has some serious shit on there. Jada is going to deliver on this one. I can feel it. All right people, I believe I covered everything and got a lot of stuff off my chest. Enjoy life because it’s a new day and change is coming, word to Barack. This recession can’t last forever so keep your head up and be happy. This is Jonny Boy singing off. I’ll see ya’ll next week and I’m out ‘til I’m back. Peace.
