Listmania: Dr. Dre's Top 10 Videos printer friendly version Send this story to a friend!
Posted: 11/3/2008 7:27:53 AM by Jon Michael

We all know Dr. Dre is a man of sounds but let’s not forget all the visuals he’s provided us with over the years. I’ve also been thinking a lot about Detox which is supposed to be dropping some time soon although we’ve been hearing that for like a hundred years.

Anyway, I started thinking on Dre’s career and found myself on You Tube watching the often-watched videos of Dr. Dre and the not so often watched videos from the good doctor.

Either way, there’s something for everybody on this list. I guarantee ya’ll are going to love it. So sit back and enjoy Dr. Dre’s 'Top 10 Videos' in this week’s edition of Listmania!

10. “The Next Episode”

From the first second where we see those olives drop into that martini glass and the bass kicks in you know it’s on. The club scene is bangin’ and the adlibs from Daz and Kurupt are off the hook. Dre puts a bullet in this track with his verse and Snoop puts the nail in the coffin with his verse. Only Snoop can be hard rockin’ a perm.

9. “Still D.R.E.”

When this song and video dropped it was a wrap. Dre was back and he was letting it be officially known. Not only is he cruising in the old school whip but also he gets the assist from Snoop. Never before in history has a track made a whole industry realize they better fall back. And just for a little trivia they bumped this beat during a hot scene in Training Day.

8. “Nuthin’ But A G Thang”

This was the song and video that really set shit off. Who could forget Dre walking through the whole house into Snoop’s bedroom to get him? Snoop had the fade and all, damn this is old school. This video gives that true to life Cali feeling. BBQ’s, ladies, low riders, and of course that girl who gets her bikini pulled off while playing volleyball. Warren G pops up too.

7. “Let Me Ride”

Similar to “Nuthin’ But A G Thang”, “Let Me Ride” was Cali gangsta hip-hop at it’s finest. The video is all about honeys, entourage, and 6-4’s. Most definitely a classic and a blueprint for many videos to come.

6. “Fuck Wit Dre Day”

Easily one of the funniest videos ever made this thing is just incredible. Everything is shocking. Snoop just makes you laugh at how laid back he is even while shouting lines like, “Eazy-E could eat a big, fat dick”. Dre and Snoop both murder this. The disses are hysterical and the fake Eazy doing the running man with the sign that says will rap for food is just classic. (No disrespect to Eazy at all, R.I.P.)

5. “Keep Their Heads Ringin’”

Who else but Dre could make a music video where he raps in pajamas as he takes over an airplane and throws a party on it? This beat is so knockin’ and gets any party poppin’. Chris Tucker makes a funny ass cameo and the movie clips from Friday fit great with the rest of the visuals.

4. “Forgot About Dre”

The bangin’ part of this video was it’s simplicity and of course Dr. Dre busting out the great white hope, Eminem. Dre spends his time posing in front of a newsstand telling the haters he’s still here but the fun starts when Em and Dre burn down and old lady’s house and get arrested. Gotta love it.

3. “Bad Intentions”

Yes this is the beat Jay-Z used for 'Super Ugly'. Anyway this track is so hot and both Dre and Knocturnal kill it. The theme of this song is sex, sex, sex so in the video we get the bangin’ assortment of scantily clad and ass shaking girls, girls, and girls.

2. “Been There, Done That”

Some people consider this Dre’s most forgettable song but c’mon you have to consider the circumstances. Suge was messing with him for years and he was finally free so he decided to distance himself from that whole scene. There are mansions, helicopters, and other assorted goodies. The best part? Dre doing a choreographed tango dance or something. You have to watch just for that.

1.“Deep Cover”

The song and video that introduced the world to Snoop Dogg, there’s only one word to describe this video, grimy. The camera work is grainy in black and white and just fits that hardcore beat. Classic video.
