The state of Ohio has given people plenty of good things, Nine Inch Nails, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Gerald Levert, and of course LeBron James. But soon enough the city of Cleveland will be offering up a prized possession of its own in the name of Ana V. The soft spoken19-year-old model who doubles as a mother and a college student is currently obtaining her degree in Occupational Therapy, and has already been featured in numerous publications like The Source’s Digital Dimepiece section.

The owner of five tattoos (with one of them being a huge pair of butterfly wings on her back) prides herself in her all natural and exotic appearance thanks to parents of Swedish and Antigen descent. With her unique look and positive attitude, it won’t be long before she becomes another example of why Cleveland rocks.

SixShot.com: What’s your nationality?

Ana V: My mother is Swedish, and my father is Antigen.

SixShot.com: Where are you from?

Ana V: I’m from Cleveland, Ohio.

SixShot.com: What made you get into modeling?

Ana V: I was always interested in modeling ever since I was young, then it was about meeting the right people which I did and they put me on. So from there I starting doing it, and I love it ever since.

SixShot.com: How has the experience been for you so far?

Ana V: Well so far, everything has been pretty positive.

SixShot.com: Are there any other avenues in the entertainment business that you want to get your feet wet in?

Ana V: For right now, I’m definitely focused on modeling, and maybe in the future I’ll try a little bit of acting. But nothing too big, probably just a supporting role.

SixShot.com: Were you ever camera shy?

Ana V: A little bit. Not so much shy, but after the first shoot I got very comfortable. 

SixShot.com: You’re also a mother that’s in school, is it hard balancing everything?

Ana V: At times it can be very stressful but I do try to keep my priorities straight. My daughter always comes first, and I’m getting my education just in case something happens and I can’t pursue modeling anymore. But I am very passionate about modeling too. 

SixShot.com: What’s your major?

Ana V: My major is Occupational Therapy Assistant. Right now I’m just at the community college, but I just want to get my Associates Degree and then get into a university to further my degree. 

SixShot.com: I was looking at the tattoo of with the butter fly wings on your back; do they symbolize anything personal for you?

Ana V: Well I always wanted to get butterfly wings, and I actually liked this concept. I love Cleveland for what it is, but I think I deserve more than just Cleveland. So I’m going to try and fly my way out of here. [Laughing] 

SixShot.com: [Laughing] How long did it take to finish?

Ana V: Well it took awhile, and then I had to back to get the rest colored in. 

SixShot.com: How painful was it?

Ana V: Actually I’m really addicted to tattoos, and that’s my fifth one. It doesn’t really hurt for the first hour or two, but my body does hit a breaking point, so that’s when I’ll tell the artist to stop.

SixShot.com: What does your family think about you posing half nude for the world to see?

Ana V: Well I come from a very religious family, and they don’t really support it. So I can’t say that they’re rooting for me. [Laughing] I get a lot more support from my boyfriend and all my close friends. 

SixShot.com: Has it been difficult for you to standout in such a competitive industry?

Ana V: Not really, but like you said it is very competitive. I’m a very cool and laid back person, so I try not to let the competitive spirit get to me. I just do it, and I’m having fun with it. I’m actually friends with a lot of the models from Cleveland, and I have no beef. There are always rumors for any of us who pose as we do, but I don’t let things like that get to me.

SixShot.com: What do you think is your biggest asset as a model?

Ana V: I’m not trying to knock anybody, but I’m all natural. [Laughing] Plus I feel like I have a really good personality along with being natural.

SixShot.com: Do you have any funny/scary stories you can remember since you started?

Ana V: All my photo shoots are funny because I’m a goofball honestly, my photographer and I are very good friends so we goof around all the time [Laughing] But I did go out to LA and I got lost on Hollywood, and I was by myself for the whole night. I got separated from the group I was with, and Cleveland is a big city but it’s nowhere compared to LA or Hollywood.

Even though I’m a big girl, I was scared [Laughing]. Then Buddha from ‘I Love New York’ found me! [Laughing] I had my four inch heels on and a little skirt sitting on a bus stop bench, and people kept approaching me like I was a street walker.

So I was sitting there with my eyes watering because I didn’t know what I was going to do, and I didn’t have any of the other girls phone numbers. Then Buddha from ‘I Love New York’ actually found me, and he knew about the party that I was supposed to be going to. He was walking by with his girl or somebody like that, and he actually hit me up on Model Mayhem from before. It funny now, but it was scary at the time. [Laughs]

SixShot.com: Are you the type to walk up to a guy if you might be interested in him? Or are you too shy for that?

Ana V: I’m definitely a very bold person, and guys do come up and talk to me, but it’s not the type of guy I’m interested in. I’m the type of person that knows what they want, and I go get it. Like with my boyfriend, I’m the one who went after him. My friends are like, “Don’t you think that’s lame?” I just tell them, “No, because I’m getting what I want.” [Laughs] 

SixShot.com: What can a man do to impress you?

Ana V: I hate an over confident and cocky guy. I just want to see someone’s true colors, because that’s so hard to do.

SixShot.com: What do you find sexy about a man?

Ana V: Most definitely his back. [Laughing] To me, the back shows the overall core strength, he can have big arms but for me it’s all about the back.
