After only 9 weeks, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III hits the double platinum target this week while sitting at the top spot of Billboard's 'Top Rap Albums Chart'.

Tha Carter III passed the 2,000,000 sales mark by pushing 78,700 discs this week.  The album's tally stands at 2,075,900.

Nas stays put at No. 2.  Untitled shifted 41,000 units this week, pushing the album's total sales to 291,300.

Posted at No. 3 is Florida rapper PliesDefinition Of Real scanned 15,600 copies in its eighth week on the charts.  So far, the album has sold a total of 433,500 discs.

David Banner slips down to No. 4.  The Greatest Story Ever Told reels in 15,200 units this week, bringing the album's total sales to 88,300.

Right behind him is Memphis rap duo Three 6 Mafia at No. 5.  Last 2 Walk scanned 13,700 units this week.  To date, the album has sold 184,500.

Seated at No. 6 are The FlobotsFight With Tools shelves off 12,100 CDs in its 19th week on the charts.  So far, the album has sold 192,100 copies.

Holding fort at No. 7 is G-UnitTerminate On Sight ropes in 11,600 units this week, pushing the alb um's total to 184,800.

M.I.A. sneaks back into The Top 10 by grabbing the No. 8 spot.  Kala rakes in 8,500 discs this week.  The album’s tally stands at 250,500.

A seat away is Rick Ross at No. 9.  7,200 people picked up Trilla this week, bringing the album's total to 645,000.

Wrapping things up is rap/reggaton duo Wisin Y YandelLos Extraterr moves 6,500 units this week.  So far, the album has sold 337,400 copies.
