Chicago: The Official Home Of The Haters?

Everyone this comes as no shock to me. My city has been coined by some of its home based artist as “Haterville” by GLC and Kanye West feature on DJ Khaled’s “Grammy Family” song. Where he coins Chicago as “The city of hella haters”.  Now personally I don’t like the term hater because it can be used too often and too loosely in today’s society. Basically anyone out for self improvement and if they have to step someone toes by the definition is a hater.

Unless you’re an professional athletem competition seems to not exist on the social front. It’s people for example that categorize “haterism” in the wrong context Case in point: “Yeah I would have had my bills paid by the 1st but Tony hating on me because I got this chicks number before him and now he acting bitchy and don’t want to answer my calls or pay me.” That’s not hating that’s choosing the wrong type of friends to associate yourself with. The reason I have nominated my city to be seen as the city with no backbone or self reliance has not to do with entertainment, but with politics. Yeah politics.

The person that I declare the most hated on is our Democratic nominee is Senator Barack Obama. Over the past 6 months he has been the target of his own supporters. First was Jeremiah Wright, second came Michael Pfleger, and last but not leas t is Jeese Jackson. Need I say more? My topic shows how no matter where you go you’re going to have the proverbial hater The male or female that uses more energy to wonder how they are going to complicate your day, when they have no actual gain in doing so.

Some people are wired to cause misery because it’s a power trip or they like to see other screwed up.  But they don’t observe it has hating, they view it as an opinion. I digress, Obama has had his plate full with people opening his or her mouth (even his wife), remember the proud of America comment?  Folks need to realize that if you need to take back or rephrase a statement you meant no harm in saying, guess what? It was harmful. It’s no point in chewing it back now.

But goes to show you the struggles Senator Obama has to overcome. Nothing it ever easy but damn your own clan stabbing you in the back?  After years of handshakes, social gatherings, birthdays, etc. you find it appropriate now to blow the whistle?!?!
