What are some of the things that all guys can relate to? If your answers include beautiful women, sports, and food, then you are correct. Now if you take that gorgeous female and combine her with the love of food and sports, then you’re bound to make a man have a permanent Joker-like smile on his face from ear to ear.

If you think such exotic goddesses don’t exist, then jump on a flight and head out West to the Bay Area, and you might run into Jazera Grace Dulce. The petite 5’3” stunner of Hawaiian and Filipino descent (who loves to eat) doubles as a model and Go-Go dancer while she’s attaining her degree in Broadcast Journalism in hopes to become part of the coveted ESPN news team.

Egos might be bruised when it’s uncovered that she probably knows a lot more about sports than the average male couch potato, but with looks like hers, it’s virtually impossible to be mad at the Bay Area native. Her love for sports is only matched by her drive to be successful in a world that sees plenty of people come and go. But with her versatility and charming demeanor, the only place she’ll be going is above and beyond.

Where are you originally from?

I’m from the Bay Area. You know? E-40 and the whole Hyphy Movement… [Laughs]

[Laughing] Are you a fan of Hyphy?

I love the music in itself, but instead of the “lets get dumb,” I think we should be gettin g smarter. But the music is cool though. 

What’s your nationality?

I am Hawaiian and Filipino…

How were you like when you were growing up?

I was actually a major tomboy in high school I played three sports. I played volleyball, basketball, and I ran track. It’s funny because people from high school see me now, and seen some of the magazines I’ve done, and they usually laugh because they can’t believe it’s me. [Laughing]

What made you try modeling?

Well the first major thing I did was a video for The Federation out here in the Bay Area. I got paid for it, so I was like, “Wow, this is cool I can look pretty and get paid.” So from thereon, I decided to pursue it. It’s pretty cool because you get to meet other people, and hear their stories on how they got started. 

So are you in school, or do you model full time?

Right now I’m majoring in Broadcast Journalism…

Is it hard with school and modeling?

Um, no not really, modeling gets hectic, but I manage my schedule pretty well. School gets really hectic too, but as far as managing both, it’s okay.

Are you a nerd girl party girl?

I’m both…[Laughing] I party like a rock star, but I get straight A’s. [Laughing]

[Laughs] What was one of the toughest challenges for you when it came to breaking into this industry?

It’s really tough for me because I’m only 5’3” and I wanted to do runway and high fashion, but to do that you have to be a minimum of 5’7”, so I couldn’t do that. It’s a struggle because I feel that beauty comes in different shapes and sizes.

Is there any set time that you want to model for?

I’m basically just going with the flow, and seeing how far it takes me…

What are some of your other personal goals that you want to achieve in the entertainment industry?

Well my ultimate career goal would to be a sports anchor for ESPN’s SportsCenter. That would be a great goal for me. If I can achieve that, then I’m all set.  
 
Are you the type of person that can keep on watching the same SportsCenter hour after hour? [Laughs]

I do! [Laughing] I like to watch the Top Ten Countdown, like the great plays of the day…

What’s your favorite sport?

I want to say basketball, but it hasn’t been the same since [Michael] Jordan left…  

In that case, whom were you going for? The Lakers or Celtics? You must have been for the Lakers right? Since you’re from out there.

NO! I HATE KOBE [BRYANT]! [Laughing] I’m not a fan of Kobe [Bryant], sorry Kobe [Bryant]. [Laughing] I was going for the Celtics because I think Ray Allen was due for a ring, and so was [Kevin] Garnett. 

Well that made two of us! [Laughing] So have you been on any big projects yet?

I was in The Source’s Digital Dimepiece section, and that’s my biggest project to date. They actually just asked me to shoot a 3-page spread for them. So that’s going to be coming up.

What do you think is your biggest attribute?

What you see in my pictures is what you get. Not to bash other girls, but especially around here in the Bay Area a lot of girls are getting implants. More power to them, but I feel like as a model people look up to you and people look at you. I have a little sister and I wanted to show her that you don’t have to be naked to be sexy.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

Um, I like to be on Myspace. [Laughing] And I love to eat. [Laughing]

Are you more of a Hip-Hop or R&B person?

I like both, so I’m going to say both.

Is there anyone that you’re particularly feeling at the present time? Like if their song comes on, you’re going to be like, “THAT’S MY SH*T!”

[Laughing] I like Usher—I’m a fan of Usher. I would love to work with Usher. Usher and Mariah Carey, so I’m glad they’re back.

Are you single or taken?

I’m actually married…

Really? Is your husband supportive of your modeling career?

He supports it, and he’s actually my biggest supporter. It’s actually cool because I’m really comfortable with him, and I can bring him to a photo shoot. He’ll just sit there and give me advice, so we’re working as team. I actually Go-Go dance too, and I do a lot of nightlife, and he’s always there. So he’s very supportive.

How did you get into Go-Go dancing?

Well like I told you, I party hard. I was getting into 21-And-Up clubs when I was a 15-year-old girl. So I asked one of the promoters, because I saw a Go-Go dancer, and then he set me up with a gig and it went on from there. It’s cool because you’re clubbing and getting paid.  

What can a man do to get your attention?

Confidence and intellect is a major turn on for me. 

What do you find sexy about a man?

They have to be tall… [Laughing] You have to be at least 6’1” [Laughing].

So you’re 5’3”, and you want someone that’s at least 6’1”? [Laughs]

I know! I don’t know what it is! [Laughing] I guess if you have a killer smile, stunning face, and killer body we can make it work… [Laughing]
