DJ Doo Wop Responds To Lil Wayne's 'F&$k Mixtape DJs' Comment printer friendly version Send this story to a friend!

I’m sure everybody has heard what went down with Lil Wayne and his Foundation Magazine interview as snippets of the one on one have surfaced all over the internet.

Whether it’s to create buzz or just a nonsensical rant is anybody’s guess but one thing is for sure, it was without a doubt disrespectful considering the fact that Wayne’s recent progression into hip-hop’s elite was almost entirely due to mixtapes and guest appearances on other people’s songs.

Note: “This dude” as the interviewer was referred to, I’m sure he had a name and I’m sure he appreciates being called by it. I’m also sure he was fully aware he was speaking to Lil Wayne. I’m also sure he had no reason to be impressed by this fact.

Wayne was asked who the first mixtape DJ he remembered was to which he gave this response.

“I don’t remember the mixtape DJ. Tell this dude who he talking to. I’m not into all that shit. I don’t know no mixtape DJ. I am the originator”.

Wayne then went on to compare himself to Arthur Nobel, whose name is actually Alfred Nobel, who laid the foundation for the Nobel Peace Prize with these comments.

“I’m him. I created the mixtape game but I’m not into that anymore. I’m doing Lil Wayne. I’m against it and to the mixtape DJ, I don’t know no mixtape DJ’s, fuck you”.

He ended his interview with the following comments.

“I’m on Top 25. I ain’t put out 25 mixtapes. So fuck y’all.Fuck DatPiff. Fuck mixtape DJ’s. Carter III coming June 10th. Go get it or don’t go get it, suck my dick. I’m smelling myself. I’m too good”.

The interview also reportedly lasted only 6 minutes and ended with Wayne throwing a magazine at the interviewer’s face and having him escorted out of the room.

I’d like to give shout outs to DJ Clue, DJ Whiteowl, DJ Jelly, DJ Scratch, DJ Fokis, DJ Haze, J-Love, DJ Nik Bean, DJ Noodles, DJ On Point, DJ Rated R, DJ Scream, DJ Teknikz, DJ Warrior, DJ Furious Styles, DJ Dub, Kay Slay, Nu Jerzey Devil, Whoo Kid, all the other DJ’s who have put in work on the mixtape scene, and of course the legendary DJ Doo Wop who blessed us with a little video to explain how he feels about Wayne’s comments. Check it out:
