Contrary to earlier reports, Compton bred rapper The Game is still currently behind bars.

Earlier today (March 10), TMZ reported that The Game had been released from the Los Angeles Twin Towers Correctional Facility after serving just eight days of a 60 day sentence.

A representative for The Game shot down the reports of the rapper's release to Sixshot.com simply calling them false.

Last month, The Game plead no contest to a felony charge of possession of a firearm in a school zone in relation to an altercation between him and another man at a South Los Angeles school in 2007.

After his release, the rapper plans to drop his third solo album titled LAX.  The project is rumored to be his last.
