Brooklyn rapper Papoose today (March 3) confirmed rumors that he got into a brawl with Terror Squad honcho Fat Joe this past weekend
Last week, 50 Cent served as a host on New York radio station Power 105.1 and during his time on-air took shots at Fat Joe while Papoose was in the studio with him.
Rumors began floating early Saturday (March 1) that Fat Joe confronted Papoose about his alignment with 50 at a North Carolina show in which they were both booked at on Friday (February 29).
Joe, who supposedly had an entourage of about 9 people with him, would attack Papoose and two of his associates.
Word would begin going around that Papoose got the better of Joe during the scuffle while other sources would say otherwise.
On Sunday (March 2), a picture showing Fat Joe at a basketball game with scars and bandages on his face was being touted by 50 Cent's website, Thisis50.com, as the aftermath of the altercation.
Papoose would put the brawl rumors to rest in a revelation to MTV News Monday but refused to get into details.
“What happens in the streets stays in the streets,” said Pap

RONG> “It was definitely an altercation. I stood tall. Yes, I invited [Joe] for a fair [one-on-one fight], he refused. Yes, I put my hands on him. That's all I'm saying.”
In response to the rumors, Fat Joe released video footage of himself Monday night from Texas with no scars visible on his face and laughed off the rumors of being physically harmed by Papoose.
Joe would claim that the picture showing him scarred and bandaged was photo shopped and was originally taken a year ago at a New York Knicks game. Joe claimed the picture was doctored by people from 50 Cent's camp.
“[50] in the Neverland Ranch over there in Connecticut,” Joe scoffed. “Can't come out your fucking house playing with this Internet shit.”
“Papoose? Please!” continued Joe. “I ain’t been in a fight since Junior High. When I come to New York, we going up on the radio, we gon’ address everything.”
Hours later, 50 would respond to Joe via a video clip on Thisis 50.com saying he would be releasing a free downloadable mixtape via the site titled Elephant In The Sand which pokes fun at the title of Fat Joe's upcoming album, Elephant In The Room.
The cover of Elephant Of The Sand shows a picture of Fat Joe shirtless on the beach.
50's Elephant mixtape will be available on the same day of Fat Joe's album release, March 11th.
