Its finally here with all the hype and anticipation “Graduation”Kanye West third instalment of his ground breaking albums. It all started back with “College Dropout” then we had “Late Registration” these albums reflect the life of every kid in the world at one point in there curriculum of learning. Now where hear, here for “Graduation”. So with all the talk with 50 Cent are we about to see this album out sell 50's“Curtis” time will only tell. This album has arguably had the most hype of any album this year along with 50 Cent's"Curtis" in turn I think behind the scenes both artist should thank each other. As all this hype and talk is only going to do one thing, that’s make people go out and buy there albums.
So lets talk producers and featured artists on this album. Production is by the following Kanye West, Jon Brion, DJ Toomp and Dj Premier. Kanye has produced a lot of this album himself or has co-produced tracks with the others. Featured artist are T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Mos Def, Dwele, Chris Martin, John Mayer and Young Jeezy. So its not packing a massive line up, but this album doesn’t need it. As Kanye West is something else and makes a track just as good as anyone who could feature on it.
I could sit h
ere and talk about all the pre hype and all what has made Kanye West what he is today, but all that has been pretty well publicised in the news and media so im going to talk tracks. So the tracks everyone has heard. The first released of the album “Cant Tell Me Nothing” and just recently “Stronger”. Both tracks just a snippet of the greatness that is packed into this album. The third track to be released from the album is “Good Life” Which features T-Pain. So if we talk about the tracks that have been released the first was “Can’t Tell Me Nothing”.
This track caused a lot of talk about how Kanye is stubborn to the game and how he doesn’t like not getting his own way. But who would have thought Young Jeezy’s adlib would make such a formidable beat for some one like Kanye to spit over. The track is so strong in the lyrics you get a true feeling for the fact Kanye is who he is and no one can tell him different, or change him. Now the second track of the album was “Stronger”.
Ok so Kanye has sampled another song again some may be thinking. But you can put him down for doing this but when Kanye samples a song he always comes out with a hit in my opinion, so why take down a formula that has great success for him. Ok this track has a unique video and his lyrics are some what unique for this track also. It may seem he’s bragging but Kanye is making a point here, He’s making music which incorporates all genres and all types of music. He is combing it all to make great music and this track is just one example of many tracks he has made and has yet to make.
The third track to be released is “Good Life” the track has Kanye Quoting 50 Cent of all people.
“50 told me go ahead switch the style up, and if there hating let them hate, and watch the money pile up,”
The third track to be released of the album is going to be a hit that’s easy to see once you’ve heard the track. It holds that summer club feeling that just keeps your head bumping and feet moving. (Track can be heard at the bottom of this review.)
So ive spoke on three tracks that have been released and one that has yet to be released. I could talk about all the tracks they are all single worthy and No1 worthy. Im going to talk about one more track the track Kanye Says Is the best track he has ever made. Its called “Big Brother”Kanye spits about how Jay Z brought him up in the game. He spits about the hurt, the pain, there rivalry, there relationship as a whole which all makes for the finale of the album. The ultimate tribute to a mentor to one of the best up coming and established artist of the modern rap era.
So the hot tracks and the not so hot tracks, This is to hard to choose.
