The Diplomats "More Than Music Vol.2" brought to you by DukeDaGod comes out May 8th this a review of the album track by track. So lets get into it…
Track 1: DukeDaGod making a statement right here nice intro, few bars at the end stating some facts real nice way to set the album off. 9/10
Track 2: Name of the track gives you the theme for the track straight away. Hell Rell comes in wid some sick bars beat is dope. JR Writer comes in after Hell Rell holds his own nothing crazy hot. Julez Santana comes in with a little part just a few punches. Bezel comes in sounding like Jadakiss but nice first track. 8/10
Track 3: Beat starts of real nice then hits low like some Busta Rhymes Remix. Julez Santana comes in with a real nice flow and some nice punches throughout the track. Hell Rell comes in real quick nothing amazing nice little spit in the track. Hook is nice on this JR Writer has a nice part in it to but Julez Santana Owned The Track. 9/10
Track 4: Straight away the beat is insane Hell Rell comes in real nice on the beat with some real nice punches too. A-Mafia comes in after Hell Rell they both stay true to the track name <
EM>"Street Pharmacist" Hell Rell had this track nailed from the off. Insane beat sick track. 9/10
Track 5: Beat Is A lot mellower compared to the rest Julez Santana has his flow down and some nice punches, Hell Rell follows up Julez comes with a solid flow some nice lyrics with a sense of humour. JR Writer comes in got a nice flow on this not many punches but still nice lyrics. 40 Cal comes in holds his own again good sense of humour in his lyrics. Jim Jones is next on the track weakest on the track for me. The track is still nice though. 8/10
Track 6: Again another mellower beat still nice Cam’rom comes in on this and takes some shots at 50 Cent. The hook is catchy Cam’ron’s second verse is on point like his first with abit of humour in it had some nice punches. His third verse comes in and he does the thing that annoys me repeating the same word but if ya don’t mind that the track is real nice. 8/10
Track 7: The beat sounds underground nasty straight away. The hook isn’t that catchy for me but it might be a grower. The first verse not sure who it is but he finished his verse really weak. Second verse he sounds similar to Method Man not a very good verse either. Overall track was disappointing the beat got me hoping for a lot more but it didn’t deliver for me. 6/10
Track 8: The skit is damn funny that’s all im going to say if you don’t laugh at this you may need to see a doctor. 9/10
Track 9: The track comes in with some girl singing doesn’t say who she is but she has a real nice hook for this track sets it off real nice. JR Writer is on the first verse has his flow on lock with the track has some nice adlibs in it his verse came real nice for the track. Hell Rell comes in after JR Hes verse isn’t as good as JR’s but is still solid and holds the track down nicely. 40 Cal brings in the rear of the track his verse was ok nothing major finished the track of nicely. Overall real nice track. 9/10
Track 10: Beat is insane The Track starts of banging Jha’Jha comes in sounding a bit like Lil Kim she holds her own with some nice flow some nice bars and punches too she compliments the beat. 40 Cal spit’s the hook And its real catchy. The last verse comes in and had insane flow holds the beat down this is a real dope track best on the track so far. 9.4/10
Track 11: Beat is catchy the first verses comes in with some real talk. Holds a flow to the beat keeps it clean and straight with the lyrics. The hook is real nice not sure who is singing it but its nice. 40 Cal is on the second verse his lyrics relate to him getting by and he keeps it real with some real lyrics and a real flow. Overall another solid track. 9/10
Track 12: Beat is real nice to start with. JR Writer starts this track of with some nice punches real nice flow and the beat just gets more intense listening to it. But there’s a part of me that wants to hear Katt Williams spit already. Katt comes in with some funny punches straight away holds his own pimpin style have to say he came a lot better than I thought he got a grind in his voice sounds hungry. Real nice track . 9/10
Track 13: Its over remix The beat is nice as the first verse is a bit of the beat but then the beat kicks in and he holds it down. The hook is catchy . A Mafia comes in wasn’t really feeling his verse on this track all in all wasn’t feeling the track to much. 7/10
Track 14: Beat is real nice Hell Rell holds his own on the first verse with some clever punches and flow. JR Writer comes in next with some nice flow and some nice punches to he keeps it going nicely but the rappers seem of topic as its called “The Gun Shop”. Last verse 40 Cal comes in again of topic a bit for me yet lyrics are nice with some nice punches too. Overall the emcee’s where a bit of the topic of the track. 8/10
Track 15: Beat is mellow again the hook is a bit corny. The perfect track for them to beef there self’s up Hell Rell comes in real nice from the off. Freeky Zeeky comes in and he has his flow down came better than Hell Rell on this track. Track is abit corny but still came threw on this. 8.5/10
Track 16: Last track DukeDaGod comes in on first verse spits some nice lyrics keeps it on with the beat. The hook is pretty nice. The second verse also stays nice with the beat with some witty lyrics. Last verse comes in and finishs the track of real nice nice way to finish the album off. 8/10
My overall view on this album is the beats where insane throughout the album, the lyrics and artists delivered on this too all dipset fams will not be disappointed with this album my overall rating for the album is a 8.5/10
