Ever since Method Man & Redman appeared on stage, we knew that they are definitely something special. Not only they are awesome rappers and cool actors too (like in “How High”), they always seemed to be something else, non-conforming to the beef scene in hip hop but still loved by the crowd. And, of course, we always knew that they are America’s Most Blunted… So, what else can a movie director do than get those two dudes in a movie together and give them some circumstances where they can act like they are? Well, we’re not talkin’ about the movie here, but as you know, movies nowadays are supported by music. That’s our topic.

“How High – The Soundtrack” consists mostly of Method Man & Redman tracks. We already know some of them such as “Da Rockwilder”, “Big Dogs” or “N 2 Gether Now” where Limp Bizkit features the M.E.T.H.O.D. It comes along with some previously unreleased things such as “Part 2”, a follow-up to the song “How High”. I must tell you that this track, “Part 2”, is foremost able to rock and bounce everybody’s ass on this planet, it’s among the best Redman & Method Man collabos we’ve ever heard. Produced by E-dub Erick Sermon, you know where the track leads you to… Another thing I love is Method Man on R’n’Bish stuff, things like “Round and Round RMX” where he flows to the fullest (as usual) together with singer Jonell. On “America’s Most”, the two MCs show us for the at least fiftieth time that they know how to burn us, their affiliates Saukrates and Streetlife are both holdin’ it down with solo tracks an d DMX parties up in here (got that?). Word of moufy Ludacris and Shawnna ask “What’s Your Fantasy?”, and Mary J. teams up with the Iron Lung once again to perform “All I Need” in a remix version. So, you see, no point in talkin’ about the particular tracks too long ‘cause they’re mostly known, dope and heard for about hundred times. It’s nothing but dope hip hop on this soundtrack, unfortunately, it’s not all new stuff. But, nevertheless, it’s still dope. Redman and Method know how to rock. Both, on stage, on records, and on screen!
