From coming out of left field with one of the raunchiest singles ever, to selling over 900,000 copies, to virtually falling into obscurity, only to be born again on the VH1 reality show Miss Rap Supreme, to being bounced out of the competition for using recycled rhymes. That right there has been the musical odyssey of Khia AKA Ms. “My Neck, My Back (Lick It).”

Her road to notoriety has been an interesting one to say the least, and now she’s back to further clear her path with Nasti Muzik. Even though she came up on the short end of the stick during the show, the attention she gained was more than enough to put her back into the minds of many, and you can bet she’s counting on her third album in seven years to help capitalize on that as well.

The album starts off with the title track, ‘Nasti Muzik.’ On it, she sings about herself in the third person about all her wonderful qualities. ‘My Swag’ quickly follows the content that first put her on the map, “I’m the flyest b*tch alive, thug misses understand/I’ll make my p*ssy do tricks, guaranteed to take ya man.” The production level picks up on ‘Like Me,’ and so do the references pertaining to her womanhood, “You can’t jump on the d*ck like me/keep ya p*ssy lips extra tight like me.” With a song title like, ‘Put This P*ssy On His Ass,’ it should be pretty cut-and-dry on what Khia is about to speak of, but those out there who are too dense to catch on, then lines like, “Yeah, I took ya man (b*tch/yeah I f*cked ya man (b*tch)” should help out some.

One of the few tracks that doesn’t involve Khia’s version of sexual intercourse is ‘It’s Whatever.’ Basically it’s a fight song with Khia calling out all other so-called fake females, and warns them not cross her path. She follows that up with a tale of a woman scorned by her man called ‘Get Out.’ Khia just might surprise some listeners when ‘Geeked Up’ gets an opportunity to be heard. Probably the best contribution on the album, she adopts the Crucial Conflict flow, as she rhymes about having a good time and tearing up the nightlife.

‘Been The Sh*t’ is a song about how she’s been the sh*t since high school (literally, she says that). But the song is a little difficult to get into do to the fact that the beat is so annoying, it might make you want to rip out your own eardrums. It’s business as usual when it comes to ‘Whistle On It.’ Filled with instructions on how to please your partner orally, it comes with “radio-friendly” lines like, “Boy you know what I want/ain’t nothin’ wrong with a little kissin’ little suckin’ below.”

Nasti Muzik is just what the title entails, a whirlwind of sexuality filled with the play-by-play antics of one of the games best narrators of the subject. Although Khia lyrical ability may not contain the “wow factor,” she knows what she’s good at, and sticks to it. As for the production, overall its not the best and it’s not worst; it’s somewhere in between. This album probably won’t bring her back to the days of nearly a million sold, but it does solidify her as a frontrunner for having the most explicit vocabulary amongst those who practice in the same art.
